It did give rise to actual street Rap, and what would become Hip-Hop.

Ya, look out for places in Schenectady, Albany, and Troy.
They are actually less comfortable than many places in The Five Boroughs.

As a young child all my info from NYC came from comic books, arcade beat em ups, and grind house flicks. When I finally got to NEw York and saw how clean it wasI was disappointed lol
