They already do that here and have had the pharmacist break on the hours sign for a few years, I live in a little tiny town too.

I worked at a CVS pharmacy. The pharmacists would have to eat at their work station or take five to hide among the shelves of medications where the customers couldn't see them.

That's depressing. That happens in fast food sometimes too. I wonder if there's that one pharmacist who had McDonald's as their first job and twenty years later is scarfing down a sandwich standing up in the back like, some things never change, I'm gonna kill myself

Yup. They'd sit on the floor and stuff half a sandwich into their mouth, their short reprieve amidst a potentially 13 hour shift.
