What a superspreader event. The TMNT cosplayers are probably the only ones in masks.

Checked all the pics. Besides the TMNT gimps, only two people wearing masks. The lady on post 4 is wearing it halfway. And then there's the guy on post 19 with a beanie.

A few people intermittently screeching the crypto words and saying 'elon musk' a lot.
Lots of forced sounding, nasal laughter.
The pained attempts to sound impressed and supportive of people being shown jpegs more valuable than their own.

The event ended. I went back to my hotel and went to sleep.

I am exhausted. I flew to LA on Thursday. Hosted an influencer event, had some panels, and then partied until 4am at that ridiculously expensive Gala party at the forum.

Woke up hung over, but had to spend the day at Universal Studios, as one of my companies signed us all up for the 7 hour tour as a work retreat. My body basically shut down at the end of it.

Went to my hotel, took a nap, then went to the Bieber party where Kodak Black got shot. I was so out of it that I basically slept in our private booth.

Woke up the next morning feeling better and had to go to six flags for another work retreat. We had those bracelets that had you skip lines, that was great. The park ended at six and I left to go to a UFC party hosted by Marvin Vetorri, the #2 middleweight in the world. I got wasted.

Then we all left to go to the Drake party, and thats when I decided to take pictures because I remember how appreciative you all were when I made the Deadmau Logan Paul topic.

Drake ended at 2, but I met a girl, so we stayed out until 4. I had to wake up at 8 to go to Disneyland. There was Super Bowl ESPN coverage from there, and I had to meet someone for one of my jobs. Which actually sucked because one of my other jobs actually had a booth at the Super Bowl itself.

I then had the rest of the day free so, and I never been to Disney before, Abe they gave me that genie thing that lets you skip linesso I tried to do everything!

I was walking around Disney with the biggest hangover in the world refusing to nap or relent on my quest to do everything. I started at 10am and finished at 11pm.

I woke up the next day exhausted again, had some work meetings then flew to San Francisco where I unpacked my summer cloths, and packed my winter cloths. I also tried to sleep, but I was in that too exhausted to sleep phase. So that was terrible.

I woke up the next morning and flew to Denver, got here at 2pm, slept until 6pm, went to the Cheech & Chong party then was supposed to go to another party but I ended up going back to my hotel and crashing out at 9pm. Its now 10am I slept for about 12 hours.

I feel okay. Im going to head to the conference (ETH Denver) and then to a DeadMau party tonight. Ill keep you all updated!

Look. Ill be the first to admit that NFTs & MOST cryptocurrencies are stupid. But they still help you achieve financial freedom.

One of my New Years resolutions was to grow the GameFaqs Crypto, NFT, & Meta board. Providing helpful daily tutorials and guides.

That was always the goal, but unfortunately the whole Tails & Shadow thing happened. That caused the board to lose most of its traffic, and also red flagged it as a malicious group.

I let it cool off, added Machete as a mod, and was going to restart my initial plan of having it be a helpful resource for GameFaqs Users wishing to achieve financial freedom

but then to start 2022 Bitcoin Mining, NFT ponzu schemes (as yall so aptly call them) started really becoming a hot button issue for GameFaqs core communities (CE, PotD, Politics, etc) so I delayed that plan again.

Maybe I should just do it anyhow, doesnt seem like there will ever be a right time.

The crypto community shys away from mask use. They hate the government l regulations, thats the core foundation of crypto. Decentralization.

A lot of these events take place in Miami where youll get shunned for wearing a mask. But even in pro mask places like New York, LA, Las Vegas, Denver, and even San Francisco no mask for crypto events.

It is just the culture. I dont care myself. I go with the flow. If someone tells me to wear a mask then I wear a mask.

Paris Hilton most of the time. Bieber no showed the Drake party, but I dont blame him considering he got shot at the night before.

Cheech & Chong got their flight delayed out of LA. The event organizers just never told anyone. Also why everyone dipped out afterwards. It happens.

As an introvert, that sounds exhausting. I wouldn't last a week. You must meet all sorts of interesting people though.

Didn't read anything in this topic but looked at all the pictures. That seems like the saddest gathering of stoners I've ever seen. All those pics and I counted a total of 13 people smiling, total. Everyone there looks so dead inside. Sad.

I went to Open Seas to just see how much one costs by searching for recently sold:

Looks like most are selling for around 0.02 ETH which is about $60

Seems like a nice way to lose $400.

There are two reasons people buy NFTs.

1. Speculative Trading
2. Because they like them

I know that second point seems insane, but the people who buy Apes & Punks do so for the same reasons people buy Lambos & Gold Watches.

I wrote a long post explaining the ins & outs of purchasing NFTs as legit collectibles on the PotD board back when GameFaqs had a NFT related poll it got moderated for trolling.

So I probably wont be doing that again, but people who purchase these ugly Cheech & Chong NFTs do so because they like the duo, the price its worth means nothing to them.

For sure. Ive met several dozen new people today alone, trader Twitter info.

The coolest person I met was a Hollywood actor & NFT artist who died long form NFTs called spinema. Basically he plays a highly crafted silent video and then sits on a stool and narrates it live as a form of poetry.

I met him in the lobby of my hotel and he invited me to his show at the Denver Art Musseam.

It was a private showing, and he preference a piece around the George Floyd killing. It was super powerful and his voice indicated that he was on the verge of tears, which then made me and the rest of the audience tear up as well.

Once the show was over the piece was auctioned off for charity. We then went out for Tacos together, and realized we met earlier that year at the Jake Paul fight, we were both guests of Jake and were in the same private booth.

I invited him to my DeadMau concert tonight, so we basically traded events. There was another person in our group whom we met in the lobby together and he upgraded our conference badges to VIP.

Being an extrovert has its benefits. Each person you talk to is an opportunity with talents and abilities that may be able to help you at some point in time

Bet it smells terrible in there.
