Do you use references for your poses? Thanks, I really appreciate it :-) It took many years on the tablet before I finally got to a point where I could be confident / proud of my freehand lineart. I still occasionally fall back on the pen tool to get started on a line if I'm tired or want something perfectly smooth, but the vast majority of it is freehand brush. I use tons of references for just about everything: anatomy, poses, clothing, you name it (both photos and other artwork). I do put a lot of effort into anatomy and proportions - I prefer at least semi-realistic proportions in both fantasy and reality, and tbh it always bugs me when otherwise-professional grade artists neglect things like hands and feet. I've gotten to a point where I can do abs / belly, hips, legs, feet, and breasts without reference (unless I'm shooting for hyper detail / realism), but some things (like elbows, for instance) still throw me. Hands are so innately complicated that I almost always need a reference to get them right (for instance, that hand holding the pencil up to her mouth in the leftside pose is just a placeholder, I'll have to redo that from scratch because it's way off).
