This is making me wanna watch those movies again. When i was little Gumby was always the thing I was begging my parents to rent at the video store. I think they gave in a couple times I havent watched them for a long time. Ha. I think part of what made them great was how weird they were. How clumsy the dialogue delivery was and how strange the animation and writing was. Maybe someone could do something cool with them, but Im afraid it would lose all of its charm if it were more polished like a CGI cartoon or even a better quality stop motion thing like box trolls or whatever --- When was the last time you heard your boy Nas rhyme?
