I finished episode 1 yesterday.

Cool. They're not as bad as the haters say, but they're also not as good as the fans say.

Also there's a lot of overlap between haters and fans >_>

Only the original trilogy is worth watching. And the original version, not the special edition.

If you're watching them for the first time then you shouldn't start with Episode 1.

Star Wars premiered in 1976. You literally said you watched Episode 1 which released over twenty years later.

It's not the ideal way to watch it, because the prequels fill in backstories for a lot of characters who are introduced for the first time as mysterious figures in the original trilogy. You're basically deflating every significant mystery and surprise twist from the original trilogy by watching the prequels first.

Nothing wrong with chronological order TC. don't let the haters get you down.

I agree, but I had to pay $80 for used copies on DVD. They're not in production anymore.

Well, maybe without the strong love an older long time fan would have, one might would have a less harsh opinion about the newest trilogy. I'd be legit interested to hear a relatively new fan's take on it.
