Enslaving everyone? A pig escapes and you tell all your slaves that either you point out who did it or every single slave loses an eye? They point out a young girl and you tell her she is free because of a single pig just to hunt her down and try to kill her? She comes back with Titan powers and she is still somehow your slave because you fucked her mind up that much? She wins you a war and you decide to reward her by raping and impregnating her? (Remember she is like 12 or something) You force her to have multiple children only to have her blood carry on through your bloodline? She gets impaled by a spear in the heart and you tell
her to get up like its nothing? She dies and you make your 3 daughters eat her body, THEIR MOTHERS BODY, on a HUNCH that your daughters will inherit her powers? You tell your daughters to make sure to have many kids and to have their kids eat them once you die? You force the original slave to be a slave in another world for over 2000 years by building Titans during that entire time? He was the cause of the horrible world that exist today?

Isayama was a bullied kid when he was at school. This sudden change of writing leading to the horrible ending may well be the 'fuck you', he has built up all his bullied life so he gets to feel what its like to shit on more than half of his fans.

The gundam creator also says this about him,

On one hand, One Piece is a shonen manga that masterfully lets tens of thousands of people enjoy its content easily. Attack on Titan is a very personal manga to the author, and is very difficult to read. I've seen the author's television news appearances once or twice, and I finally understand what kind of person he is. He has said that because he was bullied in the past, now he uses his manga to let out those feelings of resentment. I do have to say, though, that I am glad that he collects pictures of people with unfavorable faces for reference to draw Titans. In other words, the entire manga IS NOT just the author's mood or feeling.

Even though he says that he's bad at drawing, he makes sure to work hard to draw the thing he hates the most, and still serializes the manga. This is because he is working first to become an author then a manga creator.

I dont know what the ending of this show is but Ive heard it sucks. Im curious how it will end because I might hate it as well but that is OK. Not everything has to end how I want it to end. Oh you're the anime watchers. Well the anime could be different or possibly better since the manga is way too rushed. A lot of characters just doesnt get mentioned again in the ending too.

I'll binge the season once every episode comes out.

That gives me hope. Also, the line of characters not getting mentioned again scares me. It already feels like he forgot about Annie and now Im worrying about Levi and Hange as well.

Annie isnt forgotten. Next episode is titled "THAW". Annie is gunna be free again.

mmm. let me just say the three you mention certainly aren't forgotten.... at this point in the season.
also Erens founding transformation was a lot easier to absorb animated instead of drawn. looked pretty cool.

What the hell is going on in the OP... I read up to the attack on politics section but reading the OP.... are we talking about the same Manga?

Very interesting. I only saw the opening once even though I knew they hide important things in it.

This ep cleared up a lot of the questions I had I guess but I'm still not sure if I even give a shit. Kinda just want it to end.

He's supposed to be a shitty character on purpose.

Also, the ending isn't bad. Not the best ending, sure, but it's decent

And I dont think I need to mention how well the manga ending went over but I will anyway. So the anime is finally about to show it all or close to. Thats why I have been hearing about it more.

AOT just needs to fizzle out.

The author planned the whole thing before he wrote it. The anime endings showing off future events before they were in the manga, the foreshadowing etc.

A lot of mystery box show make a mystery then figure out the contents. AoT for all its faults was the complete opposite.

I haven't read the manga, so maybe I'll think the ending will be shit, but I think the Lost comparison is inaccurate. Even if the ending is bad, I think it's fairly clear that the author had at least some idea of the story from the very beginning.
