I don't mind that it's not really horror in fact that's why I'm interested

Its fun if you have a friend to play it with and like shitty QTEs

Its the worst main game in the RE series, trash so bad they went back to survival horror in RE 7.

its a game where they tried to throw in everything and didnt seem to really take the time to polish any of it so most of it comes off as wonky and annoying. For every interesting sequence they tend to throw in one or two that have annoying design choices like pointless QTE's, respawning enemies, finicky camera movements and/or in all too closed in environments with cheap hits, inconsistent animations where you dont know if youre even hitting enemies ect. along with an actually pretty cool combat system, but they dont tell you how to use it right and a very convoluted inventory that tends to keep up its annoyingness through-out the 25+ hour story modes.

its just kind of a mess in a lot of ways and reeks of too many chefs in the kitchen. theres some fun to be had especially with a friend, but you have to keep youre expectations in check and learn not to get annoyed at every little thing.

Tried to appeal to too wide of an audience.

It's a game I love and am tired of talking about lol. Because people act personally attacked ehen you like it.

Top tier couch coop game

It's fun, I enjoyed it especially Mercenaries mode. I love how all the stories are interwoven and some parts take place at the same time.

One of the greatest action games ever made, and the second best Resident Evil behind 4. It pays tributes to all of the series' most iconic moments with sky-high production values, and it's also just fun to play. It's Resident Evil, so it's going to be stupid, but as long as you're okay with stupid, you'll have a fantastic time. Definitely play with a partner if you can.

I hear they are up to hank now

It's alright but put of the REs I've played it's the worst. For co op I'd rather play Raid mode in Revelations 2.

A much better choice than RE6 as a whole. Plus Mercs mode sucks. Always has.

Its a boring, Time restricted, knee capping + kick simulator. Raid mode is superior in every way. Especially the gun collecting.

I didnt like it at all but I guess the game is looked in a much fonder light nowadays judging from this thread

It's pretty easy to understand why someone could prefer one over the other either way. They focus on much different things. Raid is cool, but I prefer the never letting up chaos of Mercs. Along with a more fun and satisfying chase for high score. Hell, 6 has enough content with all the DLC levels that you can get 10s and 10s of hours before even getting S rank with each character on each level. And I know Raid 2 has a whole lot of content too. I liked it a lot as well. Plus, Mercs is way more accessible to play with friends randomly. It was my go to game for months and no one ever had a problem with that. I don't get why one has to suck for you to like the other. It just makes you seem irritated people talk about Mercs way more.

The gameplay's pretty solid but the campaign doesn't lend itself well to replays.
Mercs is the best part, it's completely dominated by this one grenade glitch if you're after high scores but aside from that it's a lot of fun to just put some background sound on and play with the combat system. Mercs has a bunch of costumes with different loadouts but the odd thing is in this one you can't use the different costumes in the main game. Pirate Leon does not care for the adventure, he just wants to destroy.

They toned down the power tripping a little, instead of infinite ammo being like it was before you have to reload your clip from your endless supply now. Co-op on pro difficulty, infinite ammo disabled and agent hunt on is more fun anyway. Player controlled enemies that drop first aid sprays is hard to say no to. The counter system is basically there to fill in for infinite ammo anyway, a lot of them are insta-kills, buy you a sec of invuln time that a partner can act on and even though they drastically nerfed their ability to hit multiple enemies with one swipe, it's still possible.
Ustanak was super fucking cool and I wish they'd integrated him a little better. More player controlled Ustanak opportunities for agent hunt coulda been pretty metal.

5 > 4 > 6 >>> the walking simulators
Never played Revelations, thought about it for years but kept my distance because it looked like they sucked a lot of the fun out.

Not the best RE but I enjoyed it more than 5.

Probably my least favorite of every one I played, which is like 7 or 8 of them. It's a seemingly divided game among RE players.
