Except if you're saying it comes off "mockingly" then you are assuming that the speaker's intent is to mock. I don't think that's fair or reasonable in most scenarios. People can choose the vocabulary and pronunciations that they prefer.
When you put it that way, show me the ropes

The entire act of using it is offensive because it looks no different than when a racist person does it and it's completely unnecessary. Intent is kind of irrelevant since I'm not saying any of these people are bad or had malicious intent. In fact, I know people do it do look cool.

Michael Scott is not a bad dude. He's ignorant. But it's never not offensive when he does the same thing with Stanley or Darryl. It's not malice or him intentionally trying to mock them.

This world. And it's not imitation. It's inspiration.

It's a good thing. People act like their friends and learn from their friends' personalities. Haven't you adopted any behaviors, mannerisms, or funny sayings from your friends?

if she had friends that acted or sounded like that people wouldnt be calling it a blaccent or cultural appropriation, as she would be a part of the culture .(shed also sound way more authentic but thats beside the point here).

Every known fact about her childhood/ growing up says she grew up in a very Asian community in Long Island .

she saw how black people acted on tv, in the streets and decided to try and act like them without having an actual relationship with them. Thats why people are upset with her and not mad at someone like a mac miller or Em or someone.

Comedians mock peoples accents all the time and get away with it. I think Awkwafina imitates affectionately, and just to be funny in a lighthearted manner. If a random non-black person of any kind said Yo homie. What up, dog?, though such phrases came from black culture, they now belong to everyone, because humanity is one race. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

That would be the case if it was a 1 time or infrequent thing.

Her early career was pretty full of it, and generally speaking black people never found it funny.

I mean not really you just got offended by a generally true statement, you cant have a subculture while being the dominant race in a culture

its a lot of regional, subculture based stuff and amercian culture is dominated by white culture

but its very hard to have a your own culture and be the main providers of a countries culture

I'm not Asian, but I have an adopted sister who is. She's Chinese. She barely knows anything about Japanese culture

I guess there might be some shared stuff but the unique Chinese things would be different from the unique elements of Japanese or Korean culture
