I wish I could work at a 9 to 5 job. Assuming jobs have 30 minute unpaid lunches and 15 minute paid breaks, people would work 1 hour and 45 minutes then break and repeat two more times for lunch and last break. That shit seems easy as hell and the time would go by fast but any other regular job have you work a full 8 hours not including lunch so your day at work would last 8.5 to 9 hours rather than just 8 hours

I've had one 8-4 job with a paid half hour lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks; and one 7-3 job with a paid half hour lunch. those were considered full-time

So if your job is to get kicked in the nuts all day long that is an easy ass job as long as you get a break every 2 hours?

i work 8 hours but get paid for lunch so more like 7 hours. i used to have a job where i had to clock out for lunch so i was actually at work 9 hours. man 2 hours is such a difference.

Why

cause people spend 30 minutes to one hour less on the job depending on how long their lunches are. I know that don't seem like much but it does make a difference

The only difference is that you get a paid lunch. It wouldn't go by faster just because you save 30-60 minutes lol.

At my work it's 2 paid ten minute breaks and a 30 minute unpaid lunch. You work 2 hours, get 1 break. Work 2 more hours, get lunch. Work 2 more hours, last break. Then work 2 more hours.

I find this extremely tedious and instead work 6 straight hours, take lunch, work 1 hour 35 minute, then combine my two breaks and leave five minutes early.

They bake that 30 minutes in, and now the work day is 8.5 hours typically; 9:00-5:30.

I get paid for 32 but I'd imagine the average amount of worked hours for my profession is closer to 60.

You don't always get your 15 minute breaks and the lunch is unpaid so you have an 8 and a half hour shift from my experience.

Idk why that schedule is usually the butt of jokes in regards to working usually. As you start and end late and early enough to enjoy most conveniences that are open by then, during daylight hours, and have time and energy enough to work out before or after.
