Yeah it's a difficult habit to break just like anything else. You get used to the feeling and then your brain depends on it. I feel really bad for heroine users as that would be the worst to get off of but alcohol is manageable. You gotta find something else to occupy your time and it's difficult because alcohol is addictive. I would say like 6 or 7 beers which is terrible for you nutritionally anyways plus not very many alcohol beverages even taste good to me, not even wine or champagne taste good to me. Drinking doesn't really hurt it until you drink too much. if you never drank more than 1 drink and hour you wouldn't do any damage to your liver at all (most people drink at a faster rater than this).
