I either call or text, I don't like leaving voice messages.

Text, but a lot of girls Ive talked to recently like doing the voice message. Thats a new experience for me

It's usually but not necessarily a trait of older people who do it.

There's kinda something to that a little, but asian in this case instead of european

I text almost exclusively except for, like, my parents and my supervisors. Mainly because I dont want any confusion about subtext.

text message. the thought of having to use my voice makes my heart race so fast that my voice becomes crackly and higher pitch. i had to make a presentation on PowerPoint w/ my voice added in for a class and it was very tough. I couldn't say more than a few sentences without my voice getting all crackly and throat drying up. not even a few shots of liquor helped ease my nerves tbh. i still managed to do it after a few hours but it still sounded like i was really out of breath and dying after every word. im glad the teacher still gave me a decent grade maybe out of pity.

I can't talk to the girls in the hood for now. Because I would do it for sure in normality. This does not change anything: much more coherent and powerful.

Which one will make me look worse to the person I need to address?

Usually text. There are some messages that need to be delivered by voice though.

I don't even listen to the voice messages I receive, they are translated to text and I just read that.

Someone I know used to record messages and send them to me, was very annoying.

Wait I know text to voice, but voice to text translation too? Is it accurate?

If you get uppity that I didn't respond to your text immediately, you should have called.

I don't think anyone has ever gotten uppity about something like that, perhaps only the inverse

I also have voice to text translation for my voicemail. As long as the person is speaking clearly, it's pretty accurate. A word here and there may be wrong, but not enough for it to be an issue. Like if my dad calls me, instead of "call me back, bye" the translation might say "call me back, fine"

That sounds like it would lead to something major though. Voice always ranges from being surprisingly accurate to completely wrong for me

Text. I only voice message if that happens to be the more effective at that point, like when intonation is important or when I'm mimicking a tune.
Also, I don't like people potentially listening in on personal messages, whether it's mine or the other person's.

Voice is too easy to be distorted or misunderstood, due to garbage speakers, garbage connection, and sometimes a person is just garbage at talking.
