I bought all the Arkham games and plan to go through em. I'm halfway (maybe??) into City and am curious what the deal I'd with the never talked about third game. Is it because Batman and Joker don't have their godlike VAs? Is that why that game is treated weirdly? Is it fun? Is it as good as City?

I really liked it. The different VAs were a drawback, but I thought it was a damn solid prequel.

People are straight up not truth-telling if they say they can tell that it's not mark hamill, troy baker did a surprisingly great imitation of his voice. I never would have known it's not the iconic voices of joker and batman if I wasn't told.

And I enjoyed the game, certainly more than the rather disappointing arkham knight. It made me realize that I would like more games or copycats of the arkham formula and rocksteady's format. Even just an imitation of a rocksteady arkham game is hella fun

it ain't bad. the voice actors aint great aside from Bane. the boss fights are fun, but they're just cut and paste from City

it's also a glitchfest. but fun

Arkham Origins is underrated. I think I enjoyed it about as much as Arkham City.

I just finished origins. I've been doing the same thing you are. I enjoyed origins personally but I understand why so many people (myself included) hated the Joke/Black Mask twist, Black Mask really deserved to be treated better. He's a great Batman villain. I loved what they did with Bane, and Anarky was done pretty great as well. The VA were fine. There was nothing wrong with Troy Baker or Batmans voice actor. The counter system sucks though in this game. You'll definately notice the difference from city right away. Batman also punches slower than the thugs do for some reason.

I personally enjoyed the game minus the countering and the twist I stated above. Batman getting a grapple booster right away in Origins when in city it is stated that it's a prototype is a huge inconsistency but gameplay wise I understand why they kept it in Origins. Oh and one more thing Batman in his second year on the job takes out Joker, Black Mask, Bane, Shiva, Deathstroke, Deadshot, Killer Croc, Penguin, Mad Hatter, Anarky, Firefly, Copperhead, and Riddler all in one night. Making Arkham Batman one of the toughest Batmans of all time. With that all said, I have a soft spot for Origins and I did enjoy the game.

Origins was made by WB Games Montreal and the rest were made by Rocksteady. It's a solid entry. It is a little bland looking compared to the others and there are some missable things.

Wait what? But... my ps3 copy is digital. Did they remove it from the store or something?

I thought Troy Baker was Batman since he voices him in other stuff. Who'd they get for Batman in that?

imagine how good knight would be without batmobile gimmicks

I loved Origins and was bummed it wasnt included in Return To Arkham

Well on the Xbox one SX you can't unless you have the disk. I assume the ps4 and 5 also can't. But that's more because Sony sucks with backwards compatibility
