found him crying on his belly after leaving briefly to get his milk. he had managed to roll the entire span of our queen size bed, dodged a pillow, and then some to topple off.

My folks tell me I had one of those walker things you roll around in and I went down a flight of stairs. Remained upright the whole way but my mom was beside herself.

Kids take tumbles, and it snaps something in you every time. >_>

My 9 month old has managed not to fall off the bed yet, but i assume he will eventually

Its just a thing that happens to most babies

Im guessing yours isnt pulling himself up onto furniture quite yet, but once that happens you can expect daily head bumps

Not far. Maybe 2 feet. And he fell on to a rug at least

By 9 months I couldnt leave my kids unattended. The younger one was walking (my older one walked at 10 months).

These kids getting enough tummy time to improve motor skills?

Buying a big play pen and only putting soft things in it was my best investment so far

Sometimes i gotta take a dump while im on baby duty, it is great to know he is in the equivalent of a padded cell

Speaking of poops i think i just heard some grunts...

Its ok. Most parents have that moment where baby falls off the bed/couch/etc. My baby rolled off the couch and on her face at 5 months. I had to fire our first nanny (she was kind of bat shit) and had to work while watching her. She just started learning to roll. She was on the couch with me when I got a slack and looked at it for a second when I heard a thump followed by screaming. Thankfully there was carpet and it was a low couch. She had a good scrape on her nose.

Now shes 9 months and standing on things, cruising, etc. Tumbles on her head almost daily lol

Ive set up a playpen gate with a huge foam mat so thats been a huge help.

I will never understand people who leave babies, who know dey can roll, unattended for a brief minute like nothing will ever happen.
