pegusus123456 01/28/22 8:05:18 PM #5:	Wild Pokmon, not just the Alphas, are strong. Without many trainer battles, wild Pokmon seem to fill the void of difficult encounters. Speed of the Pokmon determine move priority and there have been time where I'd start a fight with a wild Pokmon only for it to attack right away, OHKO my Pokmon, and then immediately OHKO my next Pokmon. Typing matters a lot. A level 20 can OHKO your level 30+. Your Pokmon, and thus you, don't feel very strong. Plenty of times I've encountered a low level Pokmon, 10-20 levels lower than my own, just have it take 90% of my Pokmon's HP with one move or to get OHKO'd immediately by a non-critical/super effective move. Don't get me wrong, I love the difficulty and the challenge and I've always wanted Pokmon games to be harder but I'd be lying if I said that having Pokmon at a significantly higher level and not feeling like they were any stronger than Pokmon 10-20 levels lower can feel a little bit of a bummer. --- http://i.imgur.com/Er6TT.gif http://i.imgur.com/Er6TT.gif http://i.imgur.com/Er6TT.gif So? Unsuprised_Pika 01/28/22 8:57:52 PM #9:	It's arguably the hardest pokemon game. Level advantage doesn't matter as much with the new stat formulas. Wild pokemon often 2 shot if you don't resist their attacks. If they have type advantage or crit 1 shots are common. Pokemon can gang up on you(at one point I was fighting three wild pokemon all of different types at once.) You can encounter pokemon dozens of levels higher then you(these are often Alphas which get special moves and stat boosts as well as lower status damage as well). Enemies can sometimes attack twice in a row and in trainer battles you do NOT get free switch ins/outs. Money is fairly tight without doing a LOT of catching/gathering. creativeme 01/29/22 1:57:23 PM #21:	i thought i was for sure gonna buy it when it was announced but i'm holding off for now. i did watch a bit of gameboyluke playing it the day before release so i seen how slow and handholdy the beginning of the game is and then did see him going off the patch a bit and fighting level 42 pikachu and raichu when his team was like level 20 and they messed him up. it still looks decently fun but don't think it's worth $60. lack of trainers and mostly just fighting/catching wild pokemon for exp seems like it would get old after awhile. especially catching the same ones or waiting for it to use a certain move for tasks for it. i doubt it ever goes on sale but if a store does like a buy 2 get 1 free deal i might pick that up and maybe even BD unless i have 2 other games i'd like instead. <cite>creativeme posted [p:962181881] in Is Pokemon...
