Like yeah, NFL games are long, but nobody wants the result to be determined by a coin flip.

No need for a full extra period, but I do feel that the team that loses the coin flip should get an equal number of possessions to try and score. Dont make it like college football keep it like a normal flowing game, but with the understanding that once a team has the lead while having had an equal number of possessions (or less) than their opponents, then they win.

If the team who lost the coin flip can't play defense and stop the offensive drive, that's on them not the OT rule. Get over it, already had one user whining about it in another topic

Fun fact: The Bills' ownership has consistently resisted any changes to the overtime rules for over a decade. Including thr 2019 proposal submitted by the Chiefs that both teams get an offensive possession in OT.

The Chiefs tried to avoid a situation like this, the Bills fought it.

Why don't they just bid on how long of a field goal they can make until the other team calls their bluff.

Neither team could play defense. The Chiefs strategy for both late TD drives was "we don't need to cover in the end zone"
