Holy shit im already loving this game. Made my character (Spent an hour on this as usual, the creation in this is a lot better than I thought) and now I'm trying to beat to Gozuki at the beginning. Died twice but got his life to half. Gonna try and kill it before I continue.

Can already tell, the combat is so much better in this. And Nioh 1 was already amazing.

Ah I love it. Almost finished with the DLC.

Its pretty crazy just how much having a create-a-character improves the nioh experience compared to just using william's boring ass.

Nioh 2 is fun as hell though. Never got around to actually doing all the new game content, so I might get back into it myself at some point.

Read up on what bosses drops weapon scroll techniques...each weapon as at least two skills you find via getting them off certain boss drops.

Thanks for the heads up. Gonna fight Gozuki a few more times then off to bed.

The plot is much easier to follow in this one because it doesn't require as much knowledge of JP history.

The levels aren't quite as good imo. It's more of just a series of paths until the end. The original levels mostly felt more connected or at least made more sense as actual locations.

The new weapons are pretty fun and it's overall more balanced than the original. Still, I just demolished everything with high stance axe. It made combat kind of boring because it's simple, but it works well.

I appreciated the amount of JP history in the first. Made me actually learn more about the period and figures back then.

Just killed the big Yokai at the beginning. Was pretty easy in the end. Gonna continue tomorrow.

I'm probably going to start this game after I finish my replay of Horizon Zero Dawn. I know I'm going to spend probably way more time than necessary on the character creation, but I haven't the slightest clue how I want to build my character yet. Looking forward to it though!

Although neither of these games (Nioh 1/2) are better than Dark Souls games, I really did enjoy A LOT of boss battles in Nioh 2. Really great designs.

I'm going for Odachi and Katana. Loved it in 1. Although gonna make a second female character and switch it up for a ninja style build.

I actually prefer this series. Love the Souls series though. After this I'm thinking of playing through that.

I'm not usually a difficulty druggie, but I did sadly find Nioh 2 way too easy to be as enjoyable as the first one. It wasn't until the NG++ cycle, with additional difficulty modifiers that I felt remotely challenged in the game.

I hate Souls clones, but both Nioh's were always an exception. 2 I liked a lot but it's noticeably easier than the first.

This is a waste of time imo. You can go back to character creation and save/load any character you've made if you want to switch up your look, plus it's not too much of a hassle to respec. On later NG+ cycles you can even switch out the highest scaling stat on weapons so your build doesn't really stop you from playing any/every weapon.

Damn they have living weapons in this too. I'm surprised with how many systems this game has.
