Definitely an acquired taste, very high brow and what I'd like to call "INTJ" humor.

"miss" is sort of weird phrasing. At least at my age, it's not like I was watching at the time it was airing

Loved Frasier. It was the most successful spin-off in television history for several reasons, one of which being that it was awesome.

I was a fan of the show, likely have seen every episode. Also thought he was a spot-on Beast in X3 and I hope that is revisited again eventually.

As funny as it can be (I occasionally catch reruns on Hallmark), too many episodes are based around misunderstandings and it can get a bit tiresome.

Define successful
The Simpsons and The Andy Griffith show have it beat imo, just off the top of my head

It's still the only show I can think of that manages to perfectly nail a concept I call "brilliant idiots"

Longest running. The Andy Griffith Show may have been a spin-off, but it only ran for 8 seasons as opposed to Frasier's 11.

And as for The Simpsons, I suppose that really depends on if you even can count it as a spin off. I mean sure, they started on The Tracey Ullman Show, but that was as a set of distinctly different short cartoons that went through some changes before becoming a show in their own right.

End of the day, I guess if we don't count The Simpsons as a spin-off, then I think what I said stands. If we do, then I'll amend what I said to say Frazier is the most successful live-action spin-off.

Great show. Frazier might be the best sitcom ever imo. Seinfeld is good but Frazier was able to be funny while still telling some(somewhat) serious storylines.

Alright, defeat conceded.

Damn shows I've never heard of comin' out of the woodwork to make me look like an asshole.

I'll just say now that Frasier is one of the most successful spin-offs ever.

I hope TC is taking the mickey, because Frasier is just a super comfy show. Witty, yes, but it never presumes to be "high iq".

Personally I like it because a good majority of the episodes are about characters helping eachother overcome personal/emotional problems.

Frasier is tied with Cheers for my second favorite show that Frasier was on. The best show that he was on is, of course, Wings.
