I faked being sick so I could take the day off high school and play Twilight Princess on the Wii for like 12 hours that day >_> And I took 2 days off work to play Persona 5 when it came out

Not last minute no. But I do put in vacation requests to play games. I took a week off in anticipation of Kingdom Hearts 3. Made sure to platinum it before I went back to work. Taking a week off for Horizon Forbidden West next month. I'm thinking that I might take a week off for Forspoken too. That game is actually looking pretty good.

I used to ditch class all the time to play games in the computer lab with various emulators and games I had on a cool ass surf board shaped flash drive.

I played through the entirety of FF6, FF7, Suikoden 2, Super Mario RPG, Tales of Destiny 2, and Azure Dreams in there. Just got some gardettos and a cherry coke from the vending machine and chilled the fuck out. Met a lot of people who just came up to watch me play too. Good times.

I took a day off to drive to the next town to buy Metroid Zero Mission.

Begged my dad to let me stay home, and since my grades were good and I rarely missed class, he let me.

I scheduled a day off some time in advance for Smash Bros. Ultimate's launch day, and I did it again with Pokemon Sword/Shield the following year.

I did call in late once when SF2 came out for the SNES. Just moved my shift back like 2 hours.

when i was a kid i did this sometimes. nowadays i barely give a shit. video games just ain't it anymore for me. there are still some i look forward to like zelda or metroid but it's rare that i get really into a game and even more rare to beat one

No, but I was so excited about Persona 5 coming out that I can still remember the release date and the fact that it was raining that day. I ran straight to GameStop after school to pick up my pre order lol. Its good that my schedule was set up so that I only had clases in the morning at that time

I regularly take days off to make a long weekend for an anticipated game release. Like, at least 2-3 times per year. I took a full week off for og Metroid Prime when it was new.

The vast majority of the times I call in sick is so that I can get day drunk and play video games.

They're my days off, I'll use them as I please.

I've taken planned days off from work but never called in sick or something. I dont think I ever missed school for games but I also didn't have money for new games very often and in college gaming largely took a back seat as I was much more social and active around campus than at any other point in my life.
