Im not about to do my own research into the cost of living increase over the last year, but Im simply going to trust the 5% number over this person on twitter.

That pic shows how inflation is a lot more nuanced than those tweets suggest. Also, 54.6% inflation in 21 years is an average of 2.6% per year, which is about what people say normal inflation is (maybe a bit higher).

That pic shows that nothing you've said is relevant or has any connection to reality. If inflation is 5% because things required to live are up but entertainment is down, then pretending that 5% is applicable in any realistic way is absurd. It's comparing like to unlike and taking an average.
