The game world was gorgeous visually for its time, but I doubt that's aged well (though some of the prerendered backgrounds might still hold up). The story can be very beautiful and melancholy at times, and one particularly bleak area / plot point is among my most memorable moments in gaming. Unfortunately CC was a victim of the developers running out of time / money, and the plot piles up at the finish line, resulting in at least one *major* reveal being relegated to a text dump just before the final battle. People rag on the number of party members, but that doesn't really drag the game down the way some people would lead you to believe. Most RPGs have a core cast of 4-7 characters around whom the major elements of the plot revolve, and CC is no different in that regard.
