Being stuck outside is terrifying to most people. At least, I would imagine so. Im a social butterfly and when I get stuck at a restaurant or bar, I love to try to make the most of the situation and try to meet new people. I know its clich to say that you have to try to make the best out of it, but its true.

At least that was the plan. After spending some time out in Utahs cold, blizzard-like weather, I was feeling super bored and ready to get back to my warm home in Hawaii. I had to wait for the bus to finally come.

As I was watching the bus slowly drive down the street, I realized it was me sitting inside. It was as if my feet were stuck in concrete. Time was flying by. Soon it would be the time to get on and go home.

This was it. I was trapped.

No, I am not talking about the movie where all those people are trapped in a tunnel and they have to go and pass through time to get home. Im not talking about The Road. I am talking about the reality where you are waiting for a bus for so long that you actually want to get out of your house. Its like the bus is your only option. You cant get out of it, and its running late.

When I was an RA in college, this was the most common call I had to take at like 2am.

The common bathrooms were outside the dorms and the students would forget their keys when sleepy/drunk/high.
