like, in Falcon and Winter Soldier, we saw that Sam had some money problems, and it was difficult for him to get a loan from the bank.

I mean I guess. I'm surprised Stark didn't have like a payment thing in place for every Avenger that Pepper would have honoured.

Yeah, that aspect of the show was pretty dumb. But they wanted to make him a relatable every man, despite being a literal avenger.

I assumed Avengers pulled salaries but I guess not lol

Yeah. It's ridiculous that Stark didn't have an Avengers trust set up. I thought that part of the show was rather silly. These dudes are saving the world, they can't be expected to carry a 9-to-5 as well.

But I guess that's the reality in America!

Sam had money to live, just couldnt afford a large expense

So in Homecoming, what's that Stark talk about Avengers' pay grade?

Honestly, that opens up a pretty big can of worms in that Stark (or later Pepper / The Stark Foundation) would transform from a 'teammate' into a 'boss / employer,' with all of the emotional and ethical pitfalls such an exchange would've entailed. Even if Stark did his best to not treat his teammates that way, those 'under' him who were suckling at his teat financially would start to see it that way. Having money come between friends / allies / loved ones is too often a recipe for disaster.

I was thinking less salary and more like how monks used to collect donations from wealthier people to help them save poor people?
Was that a thing?

I always kinda figured that any pay was coming from shield. Can't tell me fury didn't have something set up after hydra dropped shield like a little bitch

A donation fund would make a lot more sense. But it could always boil down to the simple notion that people like Sam and Aunt May wouldn't feel right taking charity.
