I feel weird using it especially as a bi/pansexual person, but I've watched too much Deadwood and it's embedded in my brain. It's all about why someone sucks cock. I've called people both words plenty of times and I've never meant that they were gay and that being gay is a bad thing. People are reading too much into these words to find things to get all offended about.

I mean I get what you're saying, I grew up when these were flung around pretty loosely too. But you can't really argue that the intent(whether purposeful on your part or not) of these words isn't a homophobic jab.

I know that they can be said with homophobic intent. But I've never said them with that intent.

The non-homophobic versions are in dictionaries. "Roosterlollipop" to me means "A very annoying or objectionable person." and "a bundle of sticks" to me means "An annoying or inconsiderate person."

It's uninspired if nothing else.

My meaning was the intent behind the phrasing itself. As in why it was ever a jab to begin with. They're words that men have almost exclusively used to call each other. Sometimes in a serious confrontational way, sometimes as playful ribbing.

But why would those words be used to insult or make fun of someone in the first place? Because the implication is that they're gay and that's something to make fun of.
