First politely ask them to pay you.

If they refuse, ask them less politely.

If they refuse again, ask them nastily.

If they still refuse, threaten to sue them.

If, despite all your best efforts, they do not pay you, sue them.

Wage theft is no joke, if they did it to you then they've probably done it to others.

Ridiculous. I had a restaurant job once that would screw my checks up. I would have X amount of hours on one check and get $1,100. Then I would have the same amount of hours and get $700 on the next check. They would claim it was on my next check and only put it on if I made an issue of it. I felt like it was a tactic to keep people working there.
