She put the wrong number on her delivery, I told her I was canceling the order, she got mad and demanded the money immediately(which isn't how it works, sorry) and thus I called the police(after warning her multiple times) and she got escorted out. Now she's waiting outside expecting to see her money get put back into her bank account or something...with 3 kids in tow.

The fact that she's doing this to her kids because 'they're hungry'. But yet she won't get them food.

Awful, awful person.

Well, in that situation where she wasted my driver's time and we were looking at 2 hour+ delivery times, she should have just accepted it couldn't get delivered and left it at that. But she came all the way to the store and complained, and refused to leave. I already told her the money will go back to her. She was at fault.

I didn't, I just said I cancelled the order. Her order asked for a call back in the notes, he called and got no answer. She didn't call until an hour and a half later, at which point I couldn't do anything.

Well, I know how to handle it. But I learned that at my old job.

Where I am at now they don't get it, so it's frustrating.

Nah, she put the wrong phone and address, and she called like an hour and a half after her order was supposed to be there.

But yes, I tried to de-escalate it and tell her that at the end of the night, all the money would go back to her(depending on her bank). She just was rude from the offset. With KIDS IN THE CAR! And she straight up had 4 chances or so(with all the warnings I gave her) before I called the police.

I will say, she apparently did try calling earlier but I wasn't able to get to the phone and it apparently went to our call center(which she brought up 'I can tell when it's one of them.' was what she said.). But she couldn't have called much earlier than an hour later, which is still just...absurd given the entire issue was on her and not us. The pizza was cold af by then.

And yeah, she was making a scene and refused to leave despite me telling her she would receive her money at the end if the night. Pizza Hut has archaic systems in place, so I couldn't really help with that. If I gave her money, I'd have been at fault and we'd have been extremely negative for the night, which falls on me.

Yeah, we've had stuff like that before. The particular driver that took her order essentially has driven across town before after calling someone and getting their correct address(and S to an N changes a ton about the order lol).

But when you're not even providing the building code for an apartment you live at that isn't at the correct location without your phone number and your only instructions are 'call me', yeah, we can't really do much there.

I used to work at a dominos a while ago. I dealt with shit like that a lot and the shit I would tell or do to problem customers shoukd have gotten me fired hundreds of time but I always got away with everything.

Once had a fight break out between customers roght in front of me. Screamed at the top of my lungs at them. Guy who instigated by talking shit ran out immediately. Other guy (who swung first) sat the fuck down and shut up and started apologizing. The owner who was a pussy ran to the office and called the cops. Turns out he called them because he though I was going to jump into the middle of the fight. I thought that was pretty funny. I just got loud because the dudes were basically just drunk ass frat boys having a dick waving contest so I knew getting loud would de-escalate it.

Another group of drunk college kids panicked when the cops showed up and left a bag of weed under the table lol. One of the managers found it and kept it for herself.

No, sorry, that's not how it works. You don't get to hang up on me after being informed your order is cancelled(to be fair, it was her daughter that did this), then come into my store and throw a tantrum, then get rewarded for it.

We have hundreds of customers daily. I'm perfectly fine losing one that says they refuse to leave my store based on something that's out of my control.

The fact that your idea of a shitty manager is bending over for customers that disrupt the entire business is ridiculous. You'd be an awful manager. Giving out free product even if the customer is throwing a tantrum in your lobby?

Hell, just 20 minutes after I got a call from someone that said they DEMANDED I remake a pizza for them, because we messed up on the pizza. I told her I would need to see the pizza to verify...but she said no, I'm going to remake the pizza and all she was bringing was the receipt. And when I said I couldn't do that, she was going to get me fired. Those are the types of people you'd give free stuff to and constantly be at a loss for, right? Lol.
