Holy fucking shit Polnareff was the most annoying fucking character ever and had way too much screen time.

Also they completely character assassinated Joseph. You'd never fucking guess he was the same guy from part 2 if they changed his name.

And also there were a lot of annoying plot holes. Why did they make Star Platinum pull out the flesh buds? Joseph's Hamon could easily disintegrate them. And speaking of Hamon, both Hamon and Dio's vampire powers were basically afterthoughts. They're rarely used basically like they all just forgot how to use them.

And why was Dio pulled out of the coffin on the beginning I thought that was the way Erina escaped? Yeah it was Dio's coffin but he shouldn't have been in it. It should be empty.

Also the whole Egypt arc was crap except for the fight with Dio.

Other than that it was pretty good but part 1 and 2 are better. I'll start watching part 4 tomorrow.

Stardust Crusaders is the lamest part, part 4 onwards are really good.

Stardust Crusaders is only lame if you ignore 1, 2, 5, and 6.

Stardust is the most tedious part in the whole series , all the other parts are better.

Wow, I loved part 3. The whole road trip vibe was so to my taste and every character was insanely likeable (even Polnareff). I do think Joseph was better in part 2, but he was still great in 3 and still my favorite Jostar.

The one point I will agree on is the Hamon. Really was an afterthought that season, and kinda dissapointing.

I'm up to date on the anime, so for me I'd rank the parts. 2 > 3 > 4 > 6 (so far) > 5 > 1

Congratulations to Jotaro for being the first JoJo to be upstaged by a supporting character in his own starring part.

Part 3 should have been called Polnareff's Bizarre Adventure.

Aside from part 2 every Jojo is upstaged by a side character

Stardust Crusaders is my favorite because old man Joseph is the shit. The real butchering of his character is yet to come tho.

Part 3 isn't the best, but the final fight is my favourite in all of JoJo

Barely any (animated) JoJos have real character development, and most end up upstaged by their JoBros

The coffin had a fake bottom, under which Dio was hiding

Also Part 2 is best (animated) part imo

Polnareff hogging so much screentime was definitely annoying. He's not even the fucking main character, so why is he the one to get all this focus? Abdul sacrificing himself to save him twice was also stupid; Polnareff should have died to save Abdul at the end instead.

Anyway, if you thought Joseph sucked in Part 3, you should know that he sucks even more in Part 4.

Pt3 is iconic but not my favorite.

Pt4 is a slog, though.

2 > 5 > 3 > 4 > 1
Dunno where to put 6 yet since only 12 episodes of it are out so far.

It's a slice of life with nothing happening for like 2/3 of the season.

Seems like a welcome change after the Egypt arc where it's like enemies are defeated by playing video games, poker, or just not doing anything at all and they defeat themselves.

What? Most of the fights in 3 are no strategy just beat down. There are only like 3 fights that aren't like that.

All of part 3 yeah. The Egypt arc specifically is where things get stupid.

That's basically the same as Part 4, only hardly anything goes on in the plot. Instead of fighting a ton of Stand users to reach a specific goal, they fight a ton of Stand users who have nothing to do with each other.

Those are two of the best fights

2 > 4 > 3 > 5 = 1 for me. That said, none of them are bad imo

4 is factually the best

Not 6. Also 4 has a rather meh beginning arc, and late-game arc. Its best part is in the middle and final battle. Giorno is the worst protagonist but part 5's battles are just much better than the previous parts and the side characters (Bucciarati is basically the real MC anyway) make up for him. The overall plot is a bit more cohesive and consistently good too besides the ending.

You basically hit the nail on the head why Part 3 sucks, but it's well liked and known because it's the most recognizable part and the only part to get any form of recognition in the west at first.
