Presumably because TC was annoyed with being "outed." Rather than going through the ordeal of account closure and new alt creation for the "fresh start," coupled with that the constant responses of "2022 account 3 karma who this" in every topic, maybe TC wanted to just cut bait and slowly let the reputation slide into oblivion, something which not only the users should respect, but especially the moderators.
