what pisses me off is that yesterday the Wal-mart lady called FedEx and they said they have it and will send it tomorrow (today)

Today I woke up and still didnt see any out for delivery
so I called and they said that they don't have it

so what the fuck was the other guy talking about

In my head, nothing is mine until it's actually in my hands. But at the same time, when people are misleading you, it's impossible not to start getting a little emotionally invested in it actually happening.

Not really. You're beholden to whatever the store chooses

Yeah, it's bullshit. That almost happened with me. I was tracking it, and saw that it was on the truck to deliever to my parents' house, and my mom saw it driving past the house each time, with a note later that day saying it couldn't locate the address.

When it was finally delivered, it was by a lady filling in the route for the day.

Finding a PS5 was the easy part for me

You'd have to know which shipping company the place you're ordering from uses. And even then, they're free to switch to/from FedEx at any time.

Why didn't you just have it shipped to store? Could have avoided all this mess.

I got mine direct from Sony with no issues but they also used FedEx. I wonder what controls are really in place to stop employees from stealing them. Hopefully they trace it back enough to fire the person but that's probably the most they can do. And even with the discreet shipping it's probably easy to figure out after a while which ones are PS5s

Isn't it a felony to do that with mail? But idk if FedEx shipments are protected the same way... another reason privatized shipping sucks

Good luck. A lot of people have been able to secure a PS5 thanks to PlayStation Direct.

They used Fedex for the Playstation Direct delivery. The day it was supposed to be shipped I straight up saw the Fedex truck drive past my street and they said I wasn't home. After a phone call and some complaining I just stood outside the next day and caught them before they even knocked. God I wish UPS, Amazon, or fuck even a pizza place could replace every instance of Fedex being used for me.

If it's past the promised delivery date then get a refund.

If the package still arrives the you know what to do.

Nice! I think you'll get it this time. I got my black controller and charging stand from Playstation Direct (don't need to sit in a queue for accessories) and they arrived without issue.

FedEx is horrible they delivered my buddy ps5 to the wrong apartment when it launched and took zero responsibility for it.

I hope you get the new one soon! I had no issue with the Sony store using FedEx, as they had so many checkpoints set up with FedEx to ensure safe delivery

That also could have been because of all of the orders that were happening in December. I had multiple Amazon items get massively delayed in December and I normally never have any issues with their delivery.

Meanwhile I ordered a PS5 from GameStop in October. Never got a confirmation email, never got a tracking number from UPS, never had the money leave my account. Then one day I come home from work and see a box sitting outside my porch, open it up it's a PS5.

FedEx is absolute garbage.

i would be that way too. would tell fedex to hold the package this time so i would personally get it so they cant pull the same shit again.

luckily you got it this time. ps5 is super hard to get.

as for the likely scenario with the 1st package. thinking an fedex employee somehow figured out it was a ps5 and jacked the package during transit from the facility or delivery route.
the box is a telltale sign.

So you got it finally? That is great to hear! Fed ex really sucks sometimes. Sometimes they can find my house easily others they cant or they deliver to my neighbors.
