You decide to get marble number 3 out quickly, and have it skip over 5 and 8. Cyborg skips his number 10 over his number 9.

Beast Boy does the same move you do, moving 3 over 5 and 8. But Raven uses Beast Boy's marble to move her number 9 further. Starfire moves her 8 over her 4. Robin quickly moves his number 2 over 5 and 9.

Cyborg's 10 blocks your 3 and 8, so you go for alternate moves. You decide to move 7 over 8. Cyborg skips his 4 over his 8 and 10 to get in the way of your marbles again. Beast Boy jumps his 6 over his 9 and Raven's 9.

Raven moves her 10 out to behind Beast Boy's 3. Starfire has her 9 jump over her 4. Robin skips his number 4 over 8 and 10, and essentially blocks Starfire's path.

You move your 8 over 7. Cyborg moves his 3 over 6 to be right in behind his 9. Beast Boy moves his 8 over his 3. Raven moves her number 4 over her 8, and then over her 10 so that it's in the very corner of the board.

Starfire has her number 10 go right behind her 8. Robin moves his 6 into 10's starting position, a unique move. You see this is all building to very long chains where the very back marbles can move forward. You decide to do the same, moving your 4 into 7's starting position.

Cyborg moves his number 4 a space over to stay in the way of your 8. Beast Boy moves his 9 out front and center, and Raven has her 3 skip over her 6, 4 and 9 to be way out in front. Starfire moves her 2 over 5 and 10 to be out in front of 8 and 9.

Robin continues to build his chain, moving his 4 a space closer to center. But you take advantage of all this, your number 1 skips over your 2, your 4, your 3 and Cyborg's 4! It stands at the very center of the board!

"Ohhh...!" Starfire marvels. "If this were the game from my planet, friend Rorek would be awarded an extra turn. But luckily for the rest of us, this is not that game."

"Well, just my luck," you say.

Cyborg moves his 1 over his 2, his 8, his 10, and your 8. Beast Boy moves his 3 over his 6, your 1 and Cyborg's 1!

"Haha!" Beast Boy says to Robin. "Look how close I got to you, bro!"

"Actually," Robin says, "this helps me, too."

Robin has his number 5 skip over his 8, Beast Boy's 3, Cyborg's 1, and then Robin's own 4 to get right next to center.

You see a path to where your 1 in center could go over Robin's 5, Starfire's 2, and then Raven's 7 to get into the 4 spot. But you also don't want to jeopardize a chain you could form with the others.

You decide to move 6 over 9 and 7. Now you have a cluster of 3, 6, 7 and 8. Cyborg moves his number 9 over his 10, his 4, Robin's 4 and Starfire's 9 to be right in front of her triangle!

"There we go!" he says.

"A minor inconvenience," Starfire says as her 6 moves over her 5, 7 and then Robin's 2 to get out in front of her cluster.

"And you guys forgot my turn, too, by the way," Raven says as she moves her 1 over her 2, 7 and Starfire's 2.

"We are going pretty fast and loose," Robin says.

Robin then moves his 10 over Starfire's 6, his own 5, Raven's 3 and Beast Boy's 9 to be in Beast Boy's 8 spot!

"And Robin strikes first blood!" Cyborg says with a sports announcer kind of voice.

"How's that for getting close?" Robin says to Beast Boy with a big smirk.

You see a path, and move your 7 over your 8, 1, Beast Boy's 6 and Raven's 10 into Raven's 9 spot.

Cyborg moves his 2 over his 5 to be in the 9 spot. Beast Boy grumbles as he only moves his 10 out next to his 9.

Raven moves her 6 over her 5and 7 to be in the very corner between her and Starfire. Starfire moves her 10 over her 8, Robin's 4, your 8 and your 3 to get right in front of Cyborg's area.

Robin moves his 1 over his 3, his 6, but then invades Starfire's area going over her 7 and 5 to be in her 6 position.

"Hey!" Starfire and Cyborg both protest.

"There's no rule against it," Robin says.

You move your 3 back a space, planning to get your 4 going next turn. Cyborg moves his 6 over his 3, then borrowing Robin's idea, he enters your area to go over your 4, your 5 and your 10, and then Robin's 7, 8 and 9, to then get over Starfire's 7 to be in her 4 spot!

"What a maneuver!" Cyborg says about his own move.

"That was probably the longest move ever," Beast Boy says.

Beast Boy then moves his 2 over his 5 and 10.

Raven moves her 7 over her 6, Starfire's 8, Robin's 4 and your 8 to get right in front of your 3, ruining your play. Starfire moves her 9 over her 6, Cyborg's 1, Raven's 7 and Cyborg's 10.

Robin moves his 6 over his 9, Starfire's 6, his own 5, then Raven's 3 and Beast Boy's 10 to be in the 10 spot. Beast Boy grumbles again while Robin still smirks.

Cyborg moves his number 2 over Starfire's number 10, Raven's 7, his own number 1, then Starfire's 6, 4 and 5 to be in Starfire's number 2 position.

"Cyborg's taking the lead," Cyborg brags about himself. "Two marbles in the target zone!"

Beast Boy moves his 6 over Raven's 3, Starfire's 9 and 10, then your 3 to be right in front of your marbles.

"Nice trip around the outside," you compliment.

Raven then simply jumps her 7 over your 3 into your 7 spot.

"Raven's finally on the board," Cyborg says with his sports voice again.

Starfire moves her 2 over her own 8 and 6 and then Cyborg's number 1. This blocks the paths you were hoping for, but you're starting to see new ones.

Robin moves his 2 up between Starfire's 4 and 6. You move your 9 over Beast Boy's 6, your own 8 and 1, then over Raven's 3 and 9 to be right in by her 10 and 4.

Cyborg moves his 5 over his own 8, Beast Boy's 2, Raven's 3, Robin's 5 and Starfire's 8 to again be right in front of Starfire's zone.

Beast Boy jumps his 9 over his own 10 and 2, Starfire's 9 and 10, and then Raven's 7 to be in your territory, to then jump over your 5 and 10, and then over Robin's 7 to be in Robin's 4 spot.

"Finally!" Beast Boy says.

Raven jumps your 9, her 3, Starfire's 9 and 10, and then her own 7 and your 2 to be in your 1 spot!

"Hah!" she smirks.

Starfire moves her 4 over Cyborg's 9 and Robin's 9. Robin moves his 7 over his 8 and 9 to settle behind his 2. And with the face Starfire's making, he clearly blocked a pth she was hoping to use.

You move your 2 over your 5, Beast Boy's 6, your 8 and 1, then Raven's 3 to be right behind her 9.

Cyborg moves his 7 over his 8 and Starfire's 10. Beast Boy moves his 4 over his 5, Robin's 6, his own 2, then traces the same path over Starfire's 9 and 10, Raven's 7, your 5 and 10, but has to stop in front of Robin's territory.

Raven simply moves her 2 down into the 4 spot. Starfire moves her 3 over her 5 to be in the 8 spot. Robin moves his 8 over Starfire's 4 and 6, his own 5, then your 1, Cyborg's 4 and Starfire's 9.

You move your 7 over Raven's 5 to go from the 9 spot to the 2 spot. Cyborg moves his 5 into Starfire's 9 spot. Beast Boy moves his 4 into Robin's 7 spot.

Raven moves her 2 over her 8, Beast Boy's 8, her own 3, then traces the path of Starfire's 9 and 10 to go over her 7, and stops in your 4, blocking the rest of that well-worn route.

"It seems everyone has learned well from my play," Starfire says. "I am glad to have worthy opponents."

Starfire moves her 10 into Cyborg's 9 spot. Robin moves his 3 to the 5 spot. You move your 9 over Raven's 10, and then over her 8 to be in the 7 spot.

Cyborg moves his 3 out from the 10 spot to be behind his 10 and 7. Beast Boy moves his 2 up between Raven's 3 and Starfire's 9.

Raven moves her 5 over her 8 to be out in front. Starfire moves her 9 over Robin's 8 to get into Cyborg's 7 spot. Robin moves his 4 over your 1 at center, then over Beast Boy's 2 and 10 to get into Beast Boy's 9 spot. You move your 2 over Raven's 9 and 10 to get in the 9 spot.

Cyborg moves his 3 over his 7, your 6, his 4, your 1, Robin's 5, then Starfire's 8. Beast Boy moves his 1 up to the 2 spot.

Raven moves her 6 over her 5, over Beast Boy's 8, her own 9, Beast Boy's 10, and Robin's 8, settling in front of Cyborg's area.

Starfire's 6. You can still get a chain going for the sake of your 10, it's starting to look stranded.

Cyborg moves his 10 over his 7, follows the same path of Beast Boy's 6 and 3, then over Starfire's 4 into Robin's territory to then go over Robin's 9 and 2, to then go over his own 3 into Starfire's 10 spot.

"He's on fire!" Cyborg says with his sports announcer voice.

Beast Boy takes his 2, goes almost backwards over Raven's 3, his own 8, then Raven's 5. He continues along the outside over Cyborg's 3 and 9 to be right in front of Robin's territory.

Raven finally moves her 8 out, going over her own 5. Starfire moves her 3 over Cyborg's 9, then Robin's 9 into Robin's territory to go over her own 4, Beast Boy's 3 and 6, then Cyborg's 7 to be behind Raven's 6.

Robin moves his 3 from the 5 spot to the 8 spot. You decide to get your 5 going, jumping it over your 4, then the same path of Beast Boy's 6 and 3, then over Starfire's 4 into Robin's territory, then over his 9 and 2.

Cyborg moves his 9 into Starfire's 8 spot. Beast Boy moves 5 over to the 4 spot. Raven moves her 10 in behind her 9. It seems she anticipated what Beast Boy was going to do with his marbles.

Starfire moves her 4 in behind her 6. That might be to deny Robin a move with his 3. Robin moves his 3 over to the 9 spot.

Your options are suddenly limited with a cluster forming near Raven's and Starfire's territories.

Beast Boy moves his 5 in behind his 2. Raven moves her 1 over Robin's 7 and her own 3. Starfire jumps her 4 over her 6, Robin's 5, Raven's 3, her own 8 and Raven's 6 to be right in front of Cyborg's territory.

Robin moves his 8 over Beast Boy's 10 then his own 10 to be in Beast Boy's 4 spot. Beast Boy grumbles and Robin smirks again.

You move your 1 from center to between Robin's 5 and Raven's 3. Cyborg finally moves his 8, going over Starfire's 10 to be in his 10 spot.

Beast Boy moves his 7 out to the corner spot between him and Raven. Raven uses Starfire's marbles, the 8, 9 and 5, to get through Cyborg's territory to go over his 8 and be right in front of your territory.

Starfire moves her 6 over your 3, your 1, Raven's 3, and then her own 8 and 9 to be in Cyborg's 4 spot. Robin moves his 1 over Cyborg's 5, then your 5, his own 7, Raven's 9 and then his own 4 to be in Beast Boy's 6.

You move your 6 over Cyborg's 4, Robin's 5, Raven's 8 and then her 5 to go over your 2 to be in Raven's 6 spot.

Cyborg moves his 8 over Raven's 1, then Beast Boy's 6 and 3. Beast Boy moves his 1 over Robin's 8 and his 7. Raven moves her 7 over her 2 to be in your 2 zone.

Cyborg moves his 8 back a row to be next to his 1. Beast Boy moves his 10 over a space to be behind Raven's 9. But then Raven moves her 9 over her own 3 and your 1.

Starfire moves her 1 over her own 4 and 10 into Cyborg's 6 spot. Robin moves his 3 over his 9, your 4, 3, 1 and 10 to be all the way in the corner of Raven's and Beast Boy's territories.

Cyborg moves his 4 over Raven's 8 to be right in the corner between Raven's and Starfire's territory. Beast Boy moves his 8 over his 1. Raven moves her 8 forward. Starfire moves her 1 over her 8 into Cyborg's 1 spot.

Robin moves his 8 into Beast Boy's 2 spot. You move your 8 forward into the center spot. Cyborg grumbles as Raven's 5 still blocks the last spot in Starfire's zone, and he has no choice but to move his 4 over a space.

Beast Boy moves his 1 over his 8. Raven moves her 8 forward another space. Starfire moves her 7 over her 2 and 3 to be in Cyborg's 6 spot.

"Now I am the also very close!" she says with a big smirk.

"C'mon, Raven, stop blockin'!" Cyborg shouts.

"No rule against it," Raven smirks and shrugs.

Robin jumps his 3 over his 7 and 8 into Beast Boy's 1 spot. You jumps your 8 over Robin's 5 and your 10 to be right in front of Raven's territory.

Cyborg grumbles again as he moves his 4 back to the corner. Beast Boy moves his 8 over his 1. And then Raven moves her 8 over Beast Boy's 1.

Starfire moves her 2 one step closer to Cyborg's territory and he's grinding his teeth. Robin moves his 5 up behind his 2 again.

You move your 10 up to Beast Boy's territory, right behind your 8. Cyborg looks ready to hit his head on the table as he moves his 4 back again. Beast Boy moves his 1 over his 8.

Raven uses Beast Boy's 8 and 1 to get her 8 closer. Starfire moves her 3 over from the 10 spot to the 8 spot. Robin moves his 5 over his 2 to be right in front of Beast Boy's territory. You move your 10 over your 8 and 6 to be in Raven's 3 spot.

"Well, I think it's clear how this ends," you say. "Even if Raven moves on her next turn, it's too late, Starfire's won."

"Whyyyyyy~...?!" Cyborg says, almost crying. "We almost defeated the master...!"

"Girl power," Raven and Starfire say as they lean in to be cheek to cheek, fingers giving V for victory.

Cyborg pouts but everyone puts the game away.

"This was fun," you say. "We can play again on days when I visit."

"Yeah, that's a great idea," Robin says.

"Just no more 'girl power,'" Cyborg says. "Everyone for themselves."

"That's fine," Raven says. "We should definitely have some board games at Rorek's place for when you guys visit."

Chinese Checkers is put away and everyone starts preparing for bed.

Days go by as you move into your new home and get your restaurant going. The Magical Melting Pot takes a bit to get going, but your menu's wide variety does grab the attention of the indecisive diners wandering around.

You go through a list of standard costume ideas for couples.

"Han Solo and Princess Leia?" you say.

"The cinnamon roll hair seems a bit much," Raven says. "And even if it wasn't October, I will not do the golden slave bikini."

"Fair on both counts," you say.

"I don't think we'd be a convincing Mario and Peach," Raven says.

"No, definitely not," you say. "Hmm, Austin Powers and basically any of the female agents he worked with?"

"Hmm... I already wear tight spandex for work," Raven says. "Let's not have that for me."

"Fine," you say, also skipping past various Marvel superhero couples. "Mary Poppins and Bert seems like a cute one. Especially if it's from the scene where they go into the chalk drawing world."

"Oh, how about The Addams Family?" she says. "Gomez and Morticia. Or maybe Beetlejuice and Lydia. Well, no, red's not really my color."

"How about a Harry Potter theme?" you say. "It doesn't have to be any of the characters, we can just get the school uniforms."

"Oh, yeah, I'd probably be Ravenclaw, right?" she chuckles.

"Yes, that would be the way to go," you say with a smirk. "I could also be Ravenclaw and then it's like we're classmates."

"Yeah, and I think their colors go better with you anyway," she says. "You've got your icy blue eyes and white hair, that goes better with the Ravenclaw colors."

The Addams Family, Gomez & Morticia.

You base your costume for Gomez off the 1990s cartoon, and go with a vibrant mauve suit, purple tie and rose colored vest to go with a white business shirt and black loafers. Raven's costume for Morticia is simple enough no matter the version it's based on: a long black dress, low cut, with the extra bit at the end of the sleeves, and the dress' train around her feet.

"Y'know, I said not to put me in tight spandex," she says as she tries it on. "But this dress is still tight on me."

"Oh, I can tell," you say as she turns and you see all of that S curve.

"Maybe this is why Morticia was so tall and skinny," Raven says as she looks down at her bosom.

"We could always pivot and say you're Elvira," you smirk.

"I don't think I'd look good with that big hair," Raven says. "Even just growing out my hair with some quick magic seems like a lot."

"Thankfully, I found a good fake moustache and a toupee," you say.

"You're not going to wear this costume to work, are you?" she asks.
