I have the 10inch iPad and I feel like that's too big for me to use lol

She bought it with her bonus she got. The larger model actually has an xdr display, which is really nice for movies

I will say, it's nice to be able to also use it as a bigger phone screen when surfing the web and whatnot. I don't use it for when I'm posting on things, but if I just want to browse Reddit/CE, it's really nice. Also use mine for any of the mobile games that I play for the bigger screen.

You think you guys are gonna use yours as like a computer TC? Or just more of a fun toy?

I dont actually have an iPad. I use my Z fold to as my tablet, and it serves me pretty well. This 12.9 inch one strikes me as being in a weird spot of being too big to be a tablet but in OS features to be a laptop replacement.

It's nice to be able to use another thing besides my phone to surf something so I don't constantly destroy my battery. Plus, a folding phone just isn't something that interests me atm.

I think if I plan to use the whole magnetic keyboard thing and whatever, the 12.9 inch model would make more sense, but even then, iOS just isn't very good as a laptop replacement os.

Mind you this is my first tablet ever, but I have the 11 Pro and I absolutely love it for taking notes with the Apple Pencil and the screen is pretty great too for watching videos. With the 120 hz display its basically like having a mini TV on the go, and I can even use Gamepass on it. Being able to play Halo Infinite on an iPad is the craziest thing to me.

With that said, I think 11 is the perfect portable size, but often times I wish I ponied up an extra $100 for the XDR display and a bigger screen. Anytime Im not seeing true blacks on my screen Im instantly reminded that a better version exists and its a bit annoying.

I wish they'd make an 11inch XDR version. Because there is definitely a noticeable difference in screen quality between the two, although that's not to say that the smaller one doesn't also have an excellent screen. It's just a significant step down.

I got it on a really good sale when the pandemic first started and Samsung had a bunch of first responder discounts. It's over a year and a half old and still feels great.

Damn. That's 10.9 Inches more than she's used to.

On a more serious note tho, I know a few people who add a keyboard and just use their ipad as a day to day computer for work, so bigger options make sense.

I think if I had the keyboard on this thing, Id consider using it kind of like a laptop
