Say Batman or Spider sees some punks mug an old woman or rob a bank and run off into the night. Then they beat the ever loving piss out of them like Tuco at a drug deal and leave the battered criminals tied up outside a police station or tied to a lampost and vanish. I'm not a lawyer or a cop but surely the police would have to just... kinda awkwardly let them go? Then arrest them later? Even assuming they don't need to go to a hospital. If the police brought them in, surely a good defense lawyer could use that in a 100 different ways --- When the going gets tough, the tough go have a little cry in the corner. This gets brought up every now and again in comics. There's one case where Superman vanishes for a year and when he comes back Luther isn't in jail because when his trial came up Superman wasn't around to testify so Luther got off because there were no witnesses. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz. Well, in that scenario, the cops would have to let them go, not because the vigilante. . . I mean, hero, beat them up, but because they have nothing to charge them for. After all, they don't have a complainant, a witness, or any evidence. --- Vegy is a 30 year old man, who's pretending to be a 60 year old woman that likes to act like a 57 year old man that pretends to be a horny 16 year old boy. ...
