in my jurisdiction this would constitute frustration of contract, and would give the tenant a very good cause to break the lease. it's a form of intimidation

if LL *had* to raise rent mid contract, then that was unforseeable and thus tenant can walk

but of course that's written like a low-iq moron who listens to too much "louder with crowder"

So the landlord is saying that Biden will make the area way more desirable to live in, which will cause the value of the property to go up? Thats pretty much the only thing that would cause rents to go up that isnt the result of the landlord setting prices arbitrarily.

rent was going to go up every year. part of inflation costs.
mine was supposed to go up 75$. but due to my income it went up 4$ only.
