I loved the game until about the halfway point. Went from being one of my favorites to steadily dropping to the point I doubt I will ever replay it.

No shit? I don't think I've ever had a game switch that dramatically for me. Was it a story or gameplay issue that came up?

75% Story, 25% Gameplay.
Story: Halfway through, its like they couldn't decide what story to do and you get these "big omg" reveals twice a chapter, 90% of which get forgotten and ignored from then on; all would have been good stories on their own, but instead they just lump them all together and gives you no payoff for any of them. So what you do get feels very empty.

Gameplay: By the halfway point, you're pretty settled in. Game never challenges you to take full advantage of the pretty fun combat/gameplay. I did my run on Hard, and never felt any challenge or incentive to adapt my strategies.

Enjoyed it but it and Tales of Arise had the same issue they back loaded so much story near the end I found it hard to care. Solid gameplay though.
