Really good production values, and Henry Cavill is amazing.

Never played the games or read the books or anything, so I'm going in blind -- is that fine?
I feel like I didn't really understand Yennefer's story in episode 2, like why she suddenly starts to seem on good terms with her teacher lady at the end even though all she did was bitch at her the entire episode and then kill her "friends."

S1 isn't told chronologically, so I expect people new to the series will be rather confused.

Other than the weird non-chronological order I think I preferred season 1.

Actually maybe not but... I at least liked how it was more monster hunting than season 2.

I watched S1 blind and enjoyed it. Not seen S2 yet nor played/read the series or anything

Yeah, I like the whole "side quests" vibe going on rn.

On episode 5 now. I see what you meant by not telling stuff chronologically.

It's rare that the main character of something ends up being my favorite character, but Geralt really is just that guy.

The sets and locations and acting and everything continues to be so good. I can't say if it's a good adaptation or anything, but I love the effort put into it.

Yeah, the sets and shooting locations are all pretty good. The CGi is a letdown at times, though, sadly. It got a bit better in S2, but is occasionally noticeable anyway.

If you think the production values are good in 1, you're gonna be blown away in 2 lol. I thought 1 looked cheap af and Geralt's wig is terrible. 2 looks soooo good.

The season 1 story is convoluted but it comes together in a satisfying way. Season 2 has been great all the way through.

On season 2 now.

They didn't even bother to bleach Ciri's eyebrows this time around lol It's always so jarring when child actors are noticeably older and taller in later seasons (esp ones that start off on the same day/week as the end of the previous season).

Played or read nothing before starting the show.

I finished watching season 2 yesterday and I like how the alliances form and break and characters are being aided one moment and shafted the next.

Way too different from the novels for me to enjoy the show.
