Katharine McPhee is speaking out in response to the negative press surrounding her husband David Fosters comment about her body.

In case you missed it, the couple is currently in Hawaii and David shared a photo of Kat in her bikini. He praised her post-baby body by saying, What baby.

There has been some backlash surrounding the comment because people think it perpetuates the idea that women need to lose baby weight immediately.

Kat is now speaking out in response to critics.

She continued, And for all of you who cant deal with it maybe this helps. Ive struggled with weight my whole 20s and 30. Ive gone up and down 10 times over. Does that make you feel better? There is nothing wrong with that -most people do.

I lost this baby weight without dieting. Zero. Diets are the worst and Ive had zero pressure from anyone. Ive let me body do its thing and found a great trainer. Thats it. And guess what? Ill probably gain weight again at some point too, she said. Who cares? And BUT people freaking out about what my husband captioned seriously get a life Stop being so offended by what people post who have zero impact on your life and move on. Maybe you should have more of an attitude of like, lets say oh thats nice he thinks his wife is hot. I cannot with this overly sensitive society right now. But as Taylor Swift said haters gonna hate byyeeee.

However there is context in there about "baby weight". Why does her husband put that in there? You can read a lot between the lines in regards to that and people will.

What if he said, "So proud of my beautiful wife" rather than phrasing it in regards to baby weight?

her netflix show got cancelled after one season because netflix refuses to let their originals be worth getting invested in

Oh for sure, but it's social media. The posts are literally for their followers to read. You can't argue that this is some intimate moment not meant for the public when it is LITERALLY public.

Again it is a silly thing to get offended by but when you say things in public the public will pick it apart.

Seriously this. He was being encouraging and I would hope he knows her well enough to post how he feels. Also he is her husband, god forbid he thinks shes good looking after a baby. And after her response it seems she is super excited about how she got to where she is with her body.
