You and your wife are going to what is surely a rare night out with a newborn. Don't you want to spend the extra cheddar for a sitter so you can enjoy your $75 steak in peace?

What the fuck is your problem? Like what is the logic here?

No I like annoying the other patrons. They must suffer as I do.

My sister was saying that she wouldnt want a stranger holding and loving on her baby or infant, like it makes her physically sick apparently. She said she can go back to doing stuff like going out when they get older.

Of course, she can have my mom or I babysit for her too, which she does. But she mostly stays with the babies even when were there which is often.

We never used to take the kids out when they were tiny, but we took my daughter out a few times as a toddler, because we knew she would be well behaved.

My son is a hyperactive maniac, so we have not eaten out with them for quite some time.

I love eating out at nice restaurants

I love my infant child who i am confident would be fine at a restaurant because he never cries

But he's not stepping foot in a restaurant that doesnt have pictures on the menu for a loooong time

Why risk it?

If it's a big and noisy place I don't think it's much of an issue. A lot of newborns will just sleep or chill out but sometimes things can happen.

If it's a quiet and small restaurant then yeah sure.

I don't really see the problem here honestly. We talking a restaurant where I have to wear pants and a blazer? If not, what does it matter?

My sister in law does this. She also considers Applebee's to be fancy, so she can keep her ass there with the rest of it's patrons

my personal favorite is the bring baby to movie > miss movie when baby inevitably starts crying from the loud ass noise 5 minutes in.

Kids aren't really making memories before 3 but occasionally I'll take my daughter to the aquarium or the zoo to look at animals. Might take her to animal kingdom at Disney but whatev

Yeah my daughter may not remember it in the future but she loves looking at animals in the zoo. She has since she was 1.

She turned 2 a couple of months ago and I took her a few days ago and she loves it even more now. May not be a memory for her but it will be for me.

Childcare is scarce, it's a barely noted job affected by the great resignation as the reason is mostly due to the insane liability (also the large number of Karens using the services don't help) over the usual pay and brutal hours.

I used to think this way when I was a kid and I had the same thing happen to me but then I realized it's not always about me and that my parents probably just wanted to go to Disney
World .

Fuck morons who bring babies to primetime movie shows. There's no way you're gonna get a baby quiet for the whole thing, so you're going knowing it's gonna ruin it for the rest.

We always bring our baby at restaurants. As a newborn she just slept and now as an 8 month old she just chills while we eat. Shes never been a crier. I know people who dont bring their babies because they cry the whole time. Since she acts so good I just dont see the need to leave her alone with someone. As she gets older and wants to be entertained more, that may change.

Bad parents
