Board 8 > Has anyone tried using Region B BluRay discs on the PS5?

For movies or shows, not games.

Everything I have ever looked up says the PS5 will not play BluRay movies out of region. However, I just accidentally ordered a Region B BluRay (Cowboy Bebop: The Movie), and figured I would give it a whirl and....it works just fine??

So, like...is this a fluke? There's quite a few series that have WAAAAAAY cheaper region B discs (or ONLY in some cases) that I would just love to buy.
