When you ask the following:

How many people got covid-19 and have died from covid-19?

How many people got the covid-19 vaccine and died from the vaccine?

This throws them into an unhinged, mental gymnastic MAGA meltdown every time.

One of their biggest points is, "the vaccine doesn't stop you from getting it". Then they refute statistics that say tons more unvaccinated people are dying than vaccinated. Or it just gets silent real fast.

If other people care about protecting themselves they can get vaccinated, like I have. It's entirely up to them and I don't care what they do, but I'll defend their right to decide for themselves without coercion.

It's not like it actually does much to prevent getting sick and spreading it around.

Anyone making it black and white without including immunity from past infection in the conversation is acting as an idealogue or trying to sell politics or completely dropping the ball. Covid vaccinations are a complicated and personal question and it's up to each person to make an informed decision for what is right for them by consulting with their primary care physician or a pharmacist or another medical professional.

Unless the conversation is specifically about people who have not had covid yet and are in a high-case area, it's nonsensical to make it about who is selfish or not selfish because that's not how it works. Immunity is a thing. NFL's chief medical officer also just announced that asymptomatic people do not spread it as well and so far it seems that reinfection is very rare and ends up being asymptomatic or shorter-lasting.

This is an irresponsible topic for a moderator to make. If it does not include mention of past immunity, the differences between symptomatic and asymptomatic cases, and the fact that omicron can evade vaccines...it's doing nothing to inform anyone or guide anyone to their primary care physician and is instead just causing divisions and pitting side vs side where it makes no sense to have any.

Now the highlighted is blatant vaccine misinformation. The vaccine does indeed reduce the spread of the virus and has reduced the hospilizations and deaths in the vaccinated by huge percentages.
Which is why almost everyone who is dying of Covid is unvaccinated.
Anti vax misinformation should be a Perma ban in my opinion.

No, it is black and white. Its not a personal decision. Its a public health decision. If youre not allergic to the shot or have any other legitimate medical reason to not get the shot, you should get it. Therefore, I fully support a vaccine mandate with severe penalties for continuing to avoid the shot. Period.

Or how I have to get patted down or x-rayed or whatever cuz of 9/11 but there aren't any vaccine mandates to board an airplane after 800k+ Americans have died.

Blood is on your hands. The world is on the brink of collapse becuase politics decided to eradicate modern medicine and all scientific fact. Vaccines single-handedly changed the entire world for the better and now we're trying to destroy them for political clout. It's bullshit and I am done taking it. It is personal.

Every fucking doctor I have spoken to or read about has wholeheartedly supported vaccines the entire time, so "we need to let people talk to their doctors and let the science speak for itself" is not the solution. Anti-vaxxers are choosing to focus on Twitter users being mean to them because they don't want to face the facts from the experts and would rather blame their stance on random people yelling at them while they're "just asking questions" and ignoring any of the actual answers.

Why are you bringing politics into this? Leftists can be wrong too. We're talking about health where politics are worth less than nothing.

I was unaware that polticians and Twitter leftists were the ones sitting in pharmacies, doctor's offices, and hospitals administering millions of vaccines, giving advice, and being overworked to the breaking point treating the virus and society's failures to control it.

The fact that there are sides and politics involved in something like vaccination proves society is on the brink of destruction. End-stage America for sure. The only side that matters is truth.

Again, your freedoms are irrelevant when they hurt others. You are no more free to spread COVID than you are to spread HIV or meningitis, or to drive drunk, or to kneecap someone with a baseball bat.

It's that simple

Public Health supersedes your stupid and misguided rights in this particular case. Benefits of vaccination outweigh the risks so heavily it's laughable.
