Clippers and stretching out the skin and holding the balls themselves away from where you're trimming. It won't get it all off but if you just want to trim some, it works wonders.

Don't actually touch it directly to the skin, I guess that's the best advice I've got. Well, you can for the skin in the n shape above and to the side of the D.
