This trend continued until about 2015 where there was a mass exodus of normies due to the rise of Reddit, which was a legit alternative for adults who had grown up on the internet but aged out of the 4Chan mindset. It can also be argued that GameFaqs was too slow to adapt no mobile site, social media presence, and a shunning of video guides, streaming, influencers, and mobile games. But thats really just a symptom of the disconnect between the GameFaqs Admins & CEman and the normies which made up the vast majority of the platform. To do so the platform would have to evolve with the times and place 98% of its resources into User Aquisition the recruitment of young, hip, modern users but thats a terribly hard sell, as an 18 year old extroverted gamer doesnt want to come hang out with a bunch of middle-aged virgins.
