Anyone ever watch this? I was scrolling for something to watch because I was randomly up at 6 AM on a Saturday morning. Up popped a show that was described as basically saturday morning cartoons but kind of weird. Why not give it a shot?

The first cartoon had me hooked. A dinosaur named Randy who is in high school and probably an alcoholic with what seems to be hardcore depression and recently fought with his fire fighter girlfriend. It was weird but okay, kind of funny. Then the Create-a-Crittles aired and I was hooked.

I've never heard of Kyle Mooney before. I'm assuming he has something to do with SNL because the producer of this is Lorne Michaels. The show is bascially a spoof of Saturday Morning cartoon shows. Except in this case it's hosted by twins and one becomes a mega star and leaves the other one behind. That's the basic plot between the cartoons.

Then each of the 4 or 5 cartoons have their own plot and lessons. One involves the second best son of two families both of which have a younger brother who is WAY more skilled and WAY More talented so a show is made up about the other brothers who go around fighting crime but they tend to do it with guns and kill people. Also, there's a subplot of drugged/roide up children that the two dudes have to stop.

Another involves a side character who had a funny one line throwaway becoming the star of a show that wasn't even about him and pushing the main characters to the point where they aren't even involved anymore.

There's also a side plot about a child star actress murdered.

It's weird. It's funny. It's clearly sending a few different "messages" but in the end it's cartoons on a Saturday morning.

Seeing that still, I thought it was a reboot of Denver, the Last Dinosaur.

Actually looking that show up I wouldn't be surprised if that's the show they were using as a base for this. I'd never heard of Denver.

I know Kablam but not Triptank. Yeah, honestly this should would have been perfect after Aqua Teen on Adult Swim or something. Although it seems he's trying to make a point and has a vision for his show that might not just be "cartoons for stoned adults"
