Have you played the second half of Xenogears?

The first half's pacing seems normal af. The second half feels like the greatest rush job on the planet.

I thought the weirdness of disk 2 made the whole game seem more unique and experimental. I actually see it as additive. You take what is already a rather avant garde game and then it feels even more art house with how the second disk plays out.

Does xenogears really have shakespeare levels of writing? That's what the fans say.

With the amount of plot covered in disc 2 I'm not sure if dragging it out like a normal game would be a good thing. That's like an additional 30 hours of terrible platforming and tons of random battles in between what we already got. Im not sure if I want that.

Still, I'd have liked it fleshed out a tiny bit more at least. Even if it was just more visual novel stuff, I'd prefer it. Some of what were probably supposed to be exciting moments fell flat with what we got.
