Is gonna have them write Tom Holland off and pass the torch to Miles Morales (then they can always bring him back when he's ready to come back).

But I also really want to see them do a version of The Clone Saga with Tom.

I think they should. It sounds like Tom is burnt out. This way it lowers the burden on Tom.

they already hinted/referenced miles' existence in homecoming, he'll pop up in a credits scene somewhere

I sort of agree and I fully welcome diverse heroes but Miles just never clicked for me

Peter is taken over by the black symbiote. Miles has to step in when Peter obviously loses control.

Miles Morales abilities and suit > OG Spiderman

He's also more interesting as a character

Tom only finally became a real Peter/Spider-Man in this movie, it'd be stupid to have him pass the candle to Miles immediately. The whole trilogy was his origin story, and now he's finally setting out. Plus, he's not even in college and too close to Miles' age.

Nah, they're gonna give him his "college trilogy," so that when they do introduce Miles, he actually has lessons to impart to him after growing up himself.

Also, they've basically been writing Tom's Peter like Miles in the first place, so it'd just feel repetitive to bring the actual Miles in now and do everything over again.

Its way too soon to replace Tom Holland.

Easiest thing to do would just take a decent break from actual films while making him the Stark of the next few films so he gets some screentime without having to do a ton of work,

It kind of annoys me that he was talking about how he wanted to be Spider-Man forever. Now he's complaining that he's burnt out and if he's Spider-Man after 30 years old still he went wrong somewhere in his life right after it was confirmed he's gonna be Spider-Man for a lot longer now. This is why replacing actors shouldn't ever be an issue.

I don't want them to replace Tom, because I do want another trilogy with him in college, but it sounds like he wants a break so

There's no way that Holland is making it to a 5th standalone. This new trilogy isn't even confirmed because Pascal said 4-6 would happen if she had her way, which she might very well have, considering she's Sony's Kevin Feige, but still.

I expect his replacement will be in the next movie and then Peter won't show up again till the next Avengers crossover or whatever.

Replacing actors leads to the issue that people latch on to who they watched growing up and think every other version is blasphemy. As can be seen by spiderman

I know and I hate that mentality. I like Peter Parker as a character. He's my favorite comic book superhero. It's incredibly dumb to me that the character gets retired for years because the actor gets tired of being them, as Holland is now saying. He's also 25 right now and said he doesn't want to be Peter anymore once he's 30. That's effectively just one more solo movie before the character gets retired.

Miles is new. Peter has been stopping for decades at this point, its something I really dislike about comic book fans honestly. Its explained in another post here as well.

The same can be said of comics. Is why nobody ever stay dead, they get brought back due to fan backlash because they did something new. At this point Im tired of Peter honestly. Not saying he cant ever come back but nothing would excite me more then to know we can go five years without him.
