Think there's a pretty clear difference between a joke and straight up trolling.

Does feel like I'm seeing a pattern in what type of posts seem to be getting modded on CE lately...

Seems as though you didn't post a URL to the source you copied it from, which is trolling.

The whole system is entirely disingenuous because it pretends on its face to be a set of rules, and the rules have remained generally the same for years, but the rules are such that there's always this little "discretion" clause, which used to mean the moderator would actually have some discretion but moderators don't have that anymore they just do what they want and point to that clause. What is really funny though is there is a clear leaning, but because of the rules, everyone who benefits from this leaning gets to bask in the ambiguity of the rules.

I wrote it. Also that's not true at all lol.

Also might be worth noting it only got modded like 3 days after being made when I finally did say that I wrote it and it was satire.

I got modded because I spoke poorly about pitbulls.

Exactly. And there's ZERO accountability. I've disputed moderations and no response.

I got modded for the same reason reposting a Hard Times article without a link to prove that it's satire and when I appealed, a mod said that pretty much anything satirical with "controversial" subjects that can cause an upstick in responsive posts is a moddable offense.

So basically, if you post satire and you get alot of posts, your topic is going to get locked or deleted for "trolling" because they think you're just fooling people for shits and giggles.

this is my main account and has been for years, but everyone assumes I'm an alt. Why? Because this site's "staff" is ridiculous and I only have enough patience to deal with it once in a while... So my recommendation is, do what I do, stop giving them DAILY traffic... There are other sites. Give the moderators some consequence with their blatant partiality and freedom.
