She's going to be the new Jailer.

Which is not a position that actually needs to exist.

Which rules over a place that does not actually need to exist.

This kind of twist horribly cheapens everything about her character up until now. The only redeeming factor of her terrible, mary-sue-ass story line was the hope of burning the absurdly evil banshee at the stake. Baine was gonna light the pyre, Vereesa and Alleria were gonna read her sentencing. It was gonna be #Lit

Now there's going to be no fucking payoff. She's either going to sacrifice herself to defeat the jailer (most likely outcome), or she's going to be an integral part of the plan to defeat him which earns her some kind of pardon going forward.

Neither ending is satisfying. You can't spend 6+ years building up the most frustrating, most cartoonishly evil, most groan-inducing villain in WoW lore and then just cop out before we get payoff.

It'd be like if (GAME OF THRONES SPOILERS) Joffrey and Ramsay never died, and they instead got to act like arrogant sociopaths for the entire series only to get a heartwarming send-off in the finale.
