individual channels on a HDTV?

I suck at explaining things but I have a spectrum cable box and I want to know if you can make it so each of the channels on Spectrum can show up as channels on the TV without needing to switch to a HDMI input?

Like I know you can easily plug an HDMI cable to the TV from the cable box and switch the TV source to the HDMI to get all the channels but my dad simply doesn't understand how to do all that. A simple task like changing the source from TV to HDMI is foreign to him, so I was wondering if I can make it so I can scan the channels and have the channels showing up as antenna channels or something.

This way so my dad has an easier time to use the TV and so he doesn't have to use two controllers, one for the TV and one for the cable box. Plus I'm curious if it's possible lol
