Years and years ago I worked in the produce section of a grocery store. The guy that was hired mainly to bring the product in from the daily truck deliveries and put it all away (a very annoying, physical and tiring job that had to be done mostly in cold temperatures) quit in the middle of his shift one day. The look on his face as he was walking out has always stuck with me. I didnt realize that he was walking out at that moment, I just thought he was going on break or something. Didnt realize that his facial expression was one of a guy that was done with that BS.

Nah, he was a cool guy and I don't really blame him. The only reason I wouldn't personally do it is because our team lead really is trying her best to keep us afloat (and even she's fed up with the lack of coordination, communication and constantly changing duties).

But the company is so dysfunctional because they decided to outsource to India, and we're finding out week after week that the team in India can't do certain shit, and now they're dumping more work on us and pressuring us to get shit done (for, of course, no extra pay). This was after they had changed everybody's shifts because they just realized (months into the project) they need people available to service different timezones.

There's other organizational problems too. Essentially, the company bit off more than they could chew with this new client (HP), are rushing things and are trying to do things as cheaply as possible.

No reason to contact him at that point anyway. I walked out of a job like this once. My manager was calling and at that point I was just fed up. No way I was taking that call.

I feel kinda bad for walking out like that. They genuinely tried to help me and I was just underperforming. I heard I was being transferred to another store. It was a sales job at Sprint years ago.
