Friendly Fire Detection
  • You Better stop purposely blasting grenades on your teammates cause were tracking them and will be punishing excessive damage to allies!

If friendly fire is such a problem, then the devs should just turn it off. They designed a game where 1/3 of the characters can hurt teammates. So what?

I'm going to respond to this by purposefully getting damaged by teammates so people get hit with bogus temp-bans.

Hopefully they revert this change, because it's not the answer.

I've bought the last 2 battlepasses ($20 total) and if I ever get a temp ban or notice or anything, I'm literally never giving them another cent. I was planning on just throwing them 10 bucks every 70 days, but this kills it.

Really it just stresses the fact that devs like to make sweeping and arbitrary changes to games based on the very loud complaints of a minority of players and/or streamers.

Beyond irritating.

r6 siege has friendly fire.

there are penalties, but you have to abuse the ever living fuck out of it to actually get reprimanded.

you can kill one teammate per game literally forever. its only when you kill multiple teammates per game. And then you might get a 30min suspension lol.

that being said, i do like having FF enabled, for more realistic gameplay.

Yea it's pretty sad that some people are so upset at getting occasionally flashbanged that they feel the need to take development time and spend it on stuff like this.

That's how they write patch notes? Perhaps you should stop playing games designed for children.

xD

It's actually a great game, runs very smooth, and is really just counter-strike. Most of the stuff is really transparent.

that could be correct. Like kill one teammate, throw a nade at 2 others and youll get kicked.

They won't kick you from the game in Valorant, you'll get a penalty after the match.

Doesn't stop trolling (which happened in like 1/50 games) at all. If anything it encourages trolling because the penalties for hurting someone (temp ban) are much worse than the penalties for getting damages (nothing, if you were already going to lose anyway).

So as soon as you think you are gonna lose, people (i.e. when the team fails a FF) will just start walking into fire, poison, and explosions.

Or just pick Sage and use her walls and ice to troll in a different, non-detectable way.

The entire thing makes no sense.

I had fun playing Valorant, but I kind of stopped when I saw the ridiculous pricing for their skins. $300's for a skin set, like wtf?

lol

I mean the game is still a lot of fun and I prefer them selling cosmetics like this over loot boxes or gatcha crap, but it definately kind of rubbed me the wrong way. LoL has reasonably priced skins most of the time.

The skin prices are out of control, and it makes me sad to see young kids think they need to spend 70 bucks on a few skins instead of buying another game or something.

That said, battle pass prices are not bad, 10 bucks for 70 days and you get 10+ skins. The skins arent as good, but so what?

Valorant servers are still down. I guess we'll soon see how bad the friendly fire patch is.

Ultimately it's just so fucking lazy. The game shouldn't allow me to do things it doesn't want me to do. That's the entire point of a game. If friendly fire is so much of a problem, then don't let me do it, otherwise stfu.
