I don't think someone would ever want internal speakers for a gaming monitor.
If you're looking for something cheap and nice the Creative Pebble speakers are quite a good bargain. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Most gamers use headsets, they are almost always better sound quality.

The monitor I bought a few months ago has speakers FWIW.
And my speakers don't have a plug, they just connect to the PC and presumably draw power from there. --- https://imgur.com/Er6TT https://imgur.com/Er6TT https://imgur.com/Er6TT So? I deeded to some gay porn. It doesn't mean anything. - Patty_Fleur ... Copied to Clipboard!

Most lower-power speakers for casual use only plug directly into your computers L/R audio outputs. You don't need an outside power source unless you're running more advanced setups.

Display port doesn't transfer audio iirc. DisplayPort does transfer audio if both devices support it. Weird, you hadn't edited your post when I quoted it but it posted the edit anyway. --- Does the name Pavlov ring a bell? ... Copied to Clipboard!

Your monitor probably has an AUX out port. You can buy some laptop speakers which run on rechargeable batteries. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007OYAVLI/ You will need to recharge them periodically from the USB but otherwise they're really handy for a cheap external source. Won't be the best sounds but still leagues better than built-in speakers anyway. --- It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha." https://imgur.com/dQgC4kv ... DisplayPort does transfer audio if both devices support it.Some really old versions display port don't carry audio but that hasn't really been a thing in years. DVI is the one that doesn't carry audio unless you use some weird highly specialized shit. --- It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha." https://imgur.com/dQgC4kv ...
